Food TranSmarter (Food Waste Pre-treatment System)
A micro-scale food waste pre-treatment unit, liquidizing food waste by converting it into slurry and filtering out undesirable substances. The slurry is then delivered to centralized waste management facilities by tankers, resulting in a robust, compact, easy operation, and most importantly, simpler and cheaper logistics.
Containerized Two-Stage Anaerobic Digestion System
An all-in-one 2-stage Anaerobic Digestion (AD) unit that converts food waste, preferably in slurry form, into bio-diesel, high purity bio-gas, and a protein-rich sludge. Such resources are maximally utilized to generate electricity/heat and animal feed, with zero discharge. No odor nuisance, no wastewater, no residue.

AEL (International Holdings) Limited is headquartered in HKSTP InnoCentre and is a spin-off from Associated Engineers, Limited. Our team aims to create an impact by driving the urgent global need to transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy, and our R&D team proudly offers a turn-key solution for food waste treatment into renewable energy and valuable resources.
Our Food Waste Total Recycling Solution boasts an array of patented novel technologies, ranging from the pre-treatment of food waste, to the anaerobic digestion system, to our odor removal technology. We are currently partnered with Hong Kong Productivity Council to research and develop this solution, which has led us to great achievements, including championing the Open Group (Environmental Sustainability) and Most Favored Award in the City I&T Grand Challenge in 2021.
